We still can’t quite believe it’s been a whole year since we opened our doors for the first time. It’s been an amazing journey so far, so to celebrate this brilliant year we thought we’d look over all that we’ve achieved since our launch in 2016 and share with you some of our biggest highlights.
93% Mystery Shop Score
As part of the Fry Magazine’s search for the 50 best takeaways, we received an impressive Fry Mystery Shop score of 93%.
On top of the mystery shop score, we also earned our MSC accreditations, making us 1 of only 88 fish and chip shops in the UK.
Food Hygiene Qualifications
As a way of ensuring the quality of food is always consistent for you, six members of our team went on to qualify for a Food Hygiene Level 2.
8 Gold Stars for Mud Foods
At the 2017 Great Taste Awards, Mud Foods (our amazing pie suppliers) won an impressive 8 Gold Star Awards! Certainly no humble pie for us.
5 Star Hygiene
We’re incredibly proud of the fact that our shop has been awarded the highest score of 5 stars for the Food Hygiene Award. This way, you know all of our food is made to the highest standard!
As well as our delicious MSC certified fish, our potatoes and meat are also ethically sourced from local farmers and butchers. Want to know more? Just ask a member of our team.
From day one we’ve been making improvements to the shop, including the creation of a relaxed restaurant area for you to all enjoy your food in.
Feel Good Charity
Right from the get go, we knew we wanted to give back to the local area. That’s why we set up feel good, a scheme that has enabled us to donate over £641 to local charities. A big thank you is owed to you too, as without your support this type of fundraising wouldn’t have been possible.
As you can see, it’s been a brilliant year and we’ve loved every moment of it. From team achievements, to charitable giveaways and competitions, 2016 – 2017 has been a year that will forever stay with us.
