We’re incredibly proud to say that we’ve scored a hugely impressive 93% during the 2017 Fry Magazine’s search for their Top 50 Fish and Chip Shops in the UK. And although we were just 2 points off making the cut, we’re still incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved in our first year of business.

The Fry Magazine’s 50 Best Takeaways is decided once every year, based on the feedback from an independent company that sends mystery diners to all shops that enter the competition. During the mystery diners’ visits, the shops are assessed on a variety of aspects, from staff friendliness to the quality of food. To make it to the top 50, the shops must score 95% or over, a target we narrowly missed but can’t wait to beat next year!

The feedback we received from the mystery diners was all positive and complimentary, with one comment really standing out:

“Sea and Spud offered excellent value for money, and I was really impressed that my food was freshly cooked to order. Based on my experience I would most definitely use Sea and Spud again and I would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.”

This type of feedback really hammers home how important our approach to cooking is, and how by dedicating ourselves to serving up quality food with a smile is truly worth it.
